Hi

Is it possible to pre-populate the text field on a new ticket?  So that "Hi There - Updating Ticket" or what-have-you is already in the field.

Rob

EDIT by Sparky:  Please follow the guidelines in the READ ME sticky thread for posting topics in this forum.  Thanks.

This may not be in the correct forum.  And the thread title is not right for the mod forum.

As far as your request.  The answer is yes, lots of ways but you did not provide enough information like for every ticket?

It can be done by embedding info in the URL query string (search for how)

Or you can simply put the desired data in the HTML tags (search for how)

Seems like a mod to me, but anyway - I'm meaning the field in the ticket that one uses to update a ticket, not the 'contact us' form.

.... Line 210 in Ticket.html

Add your default text between the textarea tags.

..."trackme(this);">Hi there, just updating this ticket... (%INPUT_problem%)</textarea><br class=tiny>

That's for me to decide based on the original description of what you're trying to do... which was pretty sparse.
