Hello... have just been asked to perform some work on our neat, clean TTX system.

We want to give certain employees access to our trouble tickets, but prevent their seeing 'Internal' Messages.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

This is not possible without a complex modification.  Unless the Groups module prevents people from other groups from seeing the internal messages... on second thought I don't recall seeing any code that checks the groups lists against the internal flag... it only checks to see if the user is a logged-in operator or not.

Do all employees need to function as ttx operators?  If not, do not give them login credentials.   They will still be able to see tickets but only from the customer perspective.

Did you update the paths in ttxcfg.cgi after moving TTX to your new location?   Undecided

Sparky, thanks.

We've got some internal customers who need want to see the notes that have been posted against tickets... but should be spared seeing 'internal' comments.

I am hoping to avoid setting up a front end with a query into mysql, but looks like I will need to proceed.

Thanks especially for the quick response. It helps a lot to know what you can't do! Smiley
