The ttxcfg.cfg file  file usually drops to 1K.  This seems to happen randomly and I can not find any triggers or time match-ups in the event log.  What could be a possible cause for this?

 3.01.769 SQL Server Edition

 File module
 Answer Library module

 No custom Modifications.

Happens randomly this whole month I had thought it was fixed because the file was set to read only, but ttx.cfg randomly droped all of information again.

Running on Windows 2003 Server.

So what's the date/time of the ttxcfg.cgi file?  Is it actually being over-written or replaced?

Is the file blank inside or just missing certain lines?

Check your server log against the date/time of the last ttxcfg.cgi file... see if somebody accessed setup.cgi.

ttxcfg.cgi can only be written to by setup.cgi.  Is it secured with a good password?  Sounds like somebody is messing around in your setup program.

Change the setup password just to be safe.

It is blank inside and looks like the date/time is fresh like it was newly created.

I am waiting for the next time someone accesses Setup.cgi as this is probably what fills in ttxcfg.cgi.  Perhaps there is a glitch in the browser.

Changed the Password too.

I do not think the browser has anything to do with something like this.  Even if you zeroed out all form fields, ttxcfg.cgi would not be blank inside.

If it happens again, remove the setup.cgi program entirely.   If it keeps happening then you know something is going wrong on your server or a hacker.
