I'm trying to determine whether it's possible to add a "Customer satisfaction survey" to the customer's  ticket view. The intention is to allow the customer to rate their overall level of satisfaction with our tech support. A simple 1-5 scale would suffice. I can create a custom field, but that puts it on the form for creating a ticket; we need it on the ticket view, so the customer can fill it out after the solution has been provided and the ticket closed.

Hello,

This is just a suggestion .... why not create your survey via survey monkey (free survey site) and then provide the link via the response ... bbcode the survey link...

just a thought ..

Thanks, arvin... That's basically what I did, although I created my own form and database. The problem is that it forces the users to go to another web page and manually enter the ticket number they're commenting on.

It would be so much easier if the surveywere available within TTX.

It's possible for Operators to edit the header fields at any time.   Therefore, it's also possible to give the Customer the ability to edit a rating field within that group of fields.  It's also possible to put this anywhere on the page.

Did you update the paths in ttxcfg.cgi after moving TTX to your new location?   Undecided

Sparky - I've been busy and just saw your response. This sounds promising. Can you give me an idea how to go about this or point me in the right direction?

TTX is a huge program yet it's very well organized into various well written modules.

My suggestion is to go through the index of Modifications published in this forum's sticky thread.  Learn by doing.  Go through each one at your own pace.  It will teach you how TTX works. It will teach you where everything is located.  And it will teach you how to tweak them for your own purposes.

TTXTickEd.pm is the module for editing the Ticket Header fields.
