I see what you are describing.

Sometimes there is a cgi error in place of the image that you can only see by looking at the page source code. In your case everything looks normal except there's no image displayed.

But I do not know how to help you as I've had little experience with this.

You may want to send a ticket to Alex about it.  The support link is in the resources sticky thread.

After you fix it post the results here in this thread so we finally have some documentation of the problem.

Thx Sparky,
I have PMed Alex.
I will post here when the issue is resolved. Like you, I dislike when people request assistance, and then send a message saying I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! but never bother to share the wealth...Its as frustrating as the creamy caramilk center...how DO they do that? LOL

Thx Sparky,
I have PMed Alex.

Alex does not read or respond to PM's.

You'll have to send him a ticket through his support desk.

Now we have a new suggested solution for others.

Thank you. Adding the captchamode=alt helped immensly.

I don't know if the other person uses the same host, but I use godaddy. This might be good to put into the installation troubleshooting?

Thanks for the info.

Until more people post the same problem with GoDaddy, I wouldn't assume everyone with GoDaddy are having this problem.

"captchamode=alt" simply forces Captcha to work when the GD library is missing or not working.

If you have a good GD library installed, then you'd leave it blank or use "captchamode=gd"

Do you mean blank as in:

captcha=

Or not having the line at all?
