2. Review the
official TTX FAQ pages.
3. Read the "Top TTX Issues" below.
4.
Search through existing threads.
5. Review the
DEMO site for proper expected TTX operation.
6. Did you try resetting your templates in Setup yet? (
Backup your template customizations first.)
Include this information in your posting...- What version of TTX?
- Optional SQL DB or standard free Flat-File?
- What server OS? Apache, Linux, IIs, etc?
- Optional Modules?
- Custom Modifications?
- BE VERY DESCRIPTIVE - list all steps required to reproduce your problem.
- BE VERY SPECIFIC & PRECISE - calling it the "ticket page" could mean either the ticket browser (list) or the actual individual ticket
- When somebody tries to help you, please be thoughtful enough to answer each of their technical questions. There's a method to such madness, so please play along.
- And finally, please be courteous to other users by reporting back with your final resolution to the problem. Other people could be reading these threads with similar problems.
Top TTX Issues1. Template HTML edits do not reflect in TTX... or Broken image links... or non-secure item on SSL page... or Tickets do not appear in Helpdesk page.
Did you move or copy your TTX to a new server? New Secure (SSL) URL? Did you remember to update all the URL paths in the ttxcfg.cgi config file? Very common issue.
2. Mailbox Scripts Not Working Properly3. Captcha image not displaying4. Upgrading & Moving Issues5. Emails do not go to everyone as expected6. Everything is Gone!! - or some tickets are missing
7. I can't even get into the TTX Setup screen- Windows Server Permissions & 404 Page Not Found Errors
8. I lost my password - Two different Admin passwords? Where are they?
All users' logins & passwords including the Admin's are editable via the Setup program ( /setup.cgi ) and saved in the
users.cgi file.
The password to get into the Setup program is saved in the
ttxcfg.cgi file. Password only for Setup... no login name required.
9. SQL ODBC / DSN Error - Windows Server, ActivePerl, & TTX MSSQL Module
10. 403 Forbidden Error - directory permissions are correct (755)... deactivate "dumb" Apache security modules.
11. SQL Error Writing File - TTX & SQL module are incompatible versions.
