I told the program to hide tickets that were solved after 1 day.  I have now moved it to 999 days and the tickets aren't coming back in view, this is a non sql install.  I need to get those tickets back, I even restored the .cgi files from last nights backup but they still aren't showing up in the web view even though they are in the /tickets/ folder.  How do we get these back, and also if we upgrade this to the sql version will the tickets port over?  All help is greatly appreciated as this is a time sensitive issue.  Thanks!

All tickets are preserved when upgrading to MySQL edition. The "hide old solved tickets" option does not delete any tickets. It is only a hidden filter for ticket browser. You may always access hidden old solved tickets by ticket ID.

When I put * in for ticket number it only shows 32 which are all open, when I look at the /tickets/ directory there are 72 tickets that should be showing up and aren't.

Looks like you have either corrupt or wrong index file. Please check contents of the tickets.cgi, the file keeps the index. If the file is 32 lines long you have 32 tickets in the database. Make sure you did not overwrite the file with old copy. You may try retrieving a backup copy from the backup folder, the Trouble Ticket Express makes the weekly backups automatically.

I found the backup with all the tickets, copied it over, made sure the tickets were there but they still aren't showing up.  I also upgraded to sql does that matter?

As long as you upgraded to MySQL edition the tickets.cgi is not used any more. You may safely delete the file. You MySQL database contains only tickets that were in the tickets.cgi at the moment of import. To re-import run sqlsetup.cgi again (this will invalidate any tickets submitted while in MySQL mode).

Did that and the tickets still aren't there, maybe faster for me to reenter the tickets by hand at this point?

Do I need to blow out the database or use a different db name for this to work?
