I have the ticket system version 3.0 working properly but now I purchased the MySQL module and trying to install it and I am having issues.

I am on Windows Server 2003, Apache server, MySQL database

When I go to sqlsetup.cgi I get a page where it ask me to setup DatabaseID, database username and password. The database is on the same machine as Apache so its localhost, 3306. I add the database name and login/password and when I click on Save, it goes to a blank page.

I am NOT sure what to do here. Please help.

I would suggest to keep using our help desk as we need access to your system. As a matter of fact your ticket was responded and I asked further information 40 minutes ago. Please ensure your spam filter does not block email from helpdeskconnect.com domain.

alright. so here is the issue. MySQL driver does not come as a default with the ActiveState builld. It has mySQLPP but it is not the right drive to choose.

so after research here is what I found.

For ActivePerl 5.10.0 Build 1002 use:

ppm install http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/PPMPackages/10xx/DBD-mysql.ppd

This worked and I have the ticket system working fine now.

Hope this will be helpful for others..
