1  Forum / Modifications / Re: [MOD] 'Responder Name' (TTX v 2.23 & up) on: April 14, 2016, 04:06:42 PM
Cannot find this line in ticket.html

<input type=submit value="[%Add message%]" onclick="submitMsg()">

It might look like this...

Code:
<input type=submit value="Update">

The important thing to remember is that you're simply adding an onclick handler to the submit button that adds a message to the ticket.

However, if you're modifying the correct version of TTX, it should look like this...

Code:
<input type=submit value="[%Add message%]">

Any chance of getting an updated link as this one does not work.
Thanks  Wink

I've updated the link as requested.  Sorry about the loooong delay.
3  Forum / Modifications / Re: [REQ] Ticket Number / Access Key on: June 04, 2014, 10:45:32 AM
Please read this forum's posting guidelines and all the sticky threads.

To do your modification, you'd start in the TTXTicket module and look at the newticket subroutine.  There is also a sticky posting here that explains what each module is for.
4  Forum / Modifications / Re: [REQ] variable for ip of message sender? on: June 04, 2014, 10:42:13 AM
Did you try searching the TTX modules for "IP"?

It's just a standard environment variable used by Perl.

Code:
$ENV{REMOTE_ADDR}

6  Forum / Modifications / Re: [REQ] Hide or Remove Item Option on: September 16, 2013, 11:22:26 AM
How do I get rid of the Item option? On System Setup, I unchecked Show in browser and Show in filter, but the Item box still appears when I click a ticket number to edit attributes.

I believe you'll need to modify the "ticketed.txt" template.  If it's not in there as a standalone item to remove, then you cannot do it without modifying the program itself.
7  Forum / Troubleshooting/Setup / Re: Resetting Ticket Starting Number on: September 13, 2013, 02:08:24 PM
I'm not near my installation now, so I can't give you exact file names, but if you look in the TTX folder on your server, you'll find a file which contains only one thing; the next ticket number. Change this number as desired.
8  Forum / Modifications / Re: [REQ] Select All? on: September 13, 2013, 02:05:04 PM
So no version of TTX includes a Select All box as part of the search results grid?

Yes, that's exactly what this means.

That's not a feature of TTX.

That's not a feature of TTX.

However, something like "select all" checkboxes can be done with JavaScript.  You'll simply have to write a JavaScript function and include it within the appropriate template.  Then you'll need to create a button, checkbox, or link that triggers your function.

Since the search results are part of the ticket list, focus efforts on the "helpdesk.html" template.
10  Forum / Troubleshooting/Setup / Re: http error 502.2 bad gateway on: August 13, 2013, 02:25:42 PM
I have the same problem.

Is any solution available?

^ See my last reply. ^

Then come back here and post your solution so the next guy can know the answer.

Thanks.

12  Forum / Troubleshooting/Setup / Re: split name into first last for searching on: April 09, 2013, 04:39:35 PM
I have seven TTX installations on the same server. One production, and six for testing.

The optional Layout Designer module will let you create custom fields.  Otherwise, you can search through the modifications forum to see if there's something similar.

It's impossible for me to say what was wrong with your server configuration.
15  Forum / Troubleshooting/Setup / Re: Can't save setting on "System Setup" page. on: March 03, 2013, 11:10:27 AM
Maybe there is something wrong with characters in your password?  Try making it a really simple password just so you can get into Setup.  You can change it later.

The code that is blocking you is very straightforward... I don't know what else could be happening.
