When I create a new ticket it generates a 20 character Access key. How can I change that to a 9 character or less Access Key?

Please read this forum's posting guidelines and all the sticky threads.

To do your modification, you'd start in the TTXTicket module and look at the newticket subroutine.  There is also a sticky posting here that explains what each module is for.

Did you update the paths in ttxcfg.cgi after moving TTX to your new location?   Undecided

I could not find said sticky. Would you mind pointing me to it directly?

This is my next project. I would like to use ticket# instead of access key. Users will be able to enter the ticket number to check the status.
