We'd love to see another check box, called, say No Notify, very similar to the current Internal check box for operators.

Ticking this box during a post as an operator, would create a ticket update that was visible to the customer, but doesn't generate a notification email message to the customer saying the ticket had been updated.

I know the Internal check box if ticked doesn't produce a notify message message to the customer, but it hides the ticket update from the customer. Sometimes, we have tickets running where we'd like to update the ticket to keep a visible record of time spent for the customer, and only at the end send a notify message.

You can try to apply my ticket message editor modification.

With that installed, you can respond as "internal", but then later go back and change those messages so that they are no longer "internal" and the customer can then see them.
